Low Voltage Directive LVD 2014/35/EU 

In order to adapt to the new Legislative Framework (NCRF), March 29, 2014, the EU official journal published a new version of the low voltage directive 2014/35 / EU to replace the original low voltage directive 2006/95 / EC Low Voltage Directive.

The new directive was implemented on April 20, 2016. Member States must complete the legislative process by April 19, 2016. In other words, the VOC (Declaration of Conformity) based on the old low voltage command will not be accepted after April 20, 2016.

 Products involved: Electrical installations rated at 50-1000 volts (AC) and 75-1500 volts (DC).

Mainly include household appliances, information technology equipment, cables and related accessories, industrial control cabinet and its components, measurement / experimental / control electrical equipment.

Exclusion terms Added items: Customized packages for professional assessment, separate research and development equipment.

The new directive aims to ensure a simpler market access and a higher level of protection for consumers' lives and property:

1. Identify the responsibilities of manufacturers, importers and distributors;

2. The wider application of electronic means in proof of conformity;

3. Through the improvement of defects or insecurity and product recovery system, through the continuous improvement of the conformity assessment of the institutional system and supervision, the safety of consumers more secure;

4. More sound market monitoring agencies to track and prevent the import of dangerous products 

The new directive is clear:

1. The manufacturer is solely responsible for the conformity assessment;

2. Notified body (the notified body) is no longer involved in the conformity assessment procedures.

CE certification process (LVD):

- Submit the application form

- Sample inspection (LVD test)

   LVD test items: according to product standards to determine the test items;

 - technical information submitted: including product introduction, product installation manual, technical drawings, key parts list, nameplate, detailed specifications, the main outsourcing parts certificate or statement.
